We are delighted to invite you to a side event jointly organized by the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), and the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), in the context of the Scientific Advice Mechanism (SAM) Conference of the European Commission.

This session will explore the growing role of collaborative frameworks in advancing science and strengthening science advice for policymaking.

Programme highlights will include Barbara Weitgruber (Director General, Scientific Research and International Relations, Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research) as keynote speaker and Simone Gingrich (Member, the Young Academy), Lise Øvreås MAE (Vice-President, EASAC), and Karen Lips (Deputy Director General, IIASA) on the panel.
